New Zealand’s locking crisis continues. All Black James Ryan has terminated his contract with Otago. Ryan, who hasn’t played since picking up a knee injury last April, also confirmed he is taking an indefinite break from rugby. An unidentified confident of the big orange lock says Ryan has had enough of living in the goldfish bowl that is All Black life in New Zealand. NZRU boss Steve Tew says Ryan has not yet made a final decision.

Matt Henjack has one eye on the croissant and one hand on the pasty. The unwanted Australian says he’s had three or four offers from European sides. Henjack was the first criminal to be sent home from a Wallaby tour in 40 years after he gnawed off his room mate’s toe during a wet dream about chickens. Henjack says he hopes to head to Europe in July.

For the Rugby Roundtable, I’m Gilbert Dropkick.

Come on fellas, its hardly a locking crisis anymore; yeah, so we lost another Ginga from the quota, but with the likes of Flav, Ali, Jase Eaton and the big Brad (Wolf) Thorn…. the AB’s will be fine come international season!!!

And lets not forget Dr Floss either, bring his 12oz of pain to a boofhead Australian near you!! MMD

Agree with the Insane Hollandaise Individual (IHI aka MMD). He might be stranded in Matamata but his rugby brain is still functional (good rugby country Te Mighty Waikato is).

So Ted is worried. Good, that’s his job. And he should be looking into this really close test season and trying to figure out any weak areas. That is his job.

I have two concerns personally, our Tight Five as a unit and our Middle Backs (10, 12 & 13). Those are the areas where I see fragility looming, if we lose a couple of key players. Not so much in terms of the number of players (lets face it, we have talent to spare) but in terms of those units becoming a synchronised, lean, unstoppable, machine. Rugby, lets not forget it, is a TEAM sport. The ULTIMATE team sport.

Finally I would like to remind the punters that rugby is a sport for smart people. Our guys need to take advantage of that. We have been playing a bit automatically during the last season and a half and have paid for it. The Crusaders are showing again what a team can do when it plays with the wits at the front and the guts following. They are walking over the opposition.

Conclusion:
Rugby=USE THY F**** BRAINS (beautiful)
League=Pick and Crash (ugly)
Football=Disgrace (sport for hooligans and ugly)

Has anyone seen the vid (in RugbyDump) of the Toulon vs Pau game? The ref allowed the game to become a mess and ended up showing Tana the red card!!!

Now we have the journos at Rugby Heaven speculating that Tana might be fired.

What the hell is going on and doesn’t the FFR have a disciplinary body? No wonder Hanjak is going to France. The D2 will be ever a mess if the FFR does not crack the whip upon their shoulders as of last week.
