Just booked my ticket to the match on the 15th, can’t wait! I haven’t yet been to the Grand on my tours of London. Plus I get to tell everyone I had my hands in every pair of Portugal’s shorts. For completely legitimate reasons though…sigh. Cheers!
Comment by Cheyenne August 30, 2007 @ 2:42 pmJed, I wish I could be there in England to see you. That will be an awesome occasion for wise investors. Just make sure to retain enough sobriety to speak/swear with some clarity.
Comment by Lorraine Tyler September 3, 2007 @ 4:08 amTo watch the first game, I’m inviting the one American friend I’ve made into a rugbyhead. I might end up overheating, but the All Blacks brand clothing I own (a pair of socks and a dressing gown) would be fitting wardrobe. The yelling from my basement will be heard for miles around. I can’t wait.
What are other people’s plans?
Same wishes here.
Planning to get my mate’s TV through the window to take advantage of better reception in our place (he has a big TV). We’ll saw the window if need be.
If my wife gets sick of it all we can always move the TV back to his place and take our decoder (he just lives next door).
I wonder what the MMD will get up to?
And what about the Bookie? How are you going to deal with the stress, Staf? You have money at stake on each game.

I’ll just be absorbing all the great man’s preachings & many a cold one at the Hotel Bristol in Wellytown…. Mind you that first game v the Pasta Poofs could be a rough one: having to spend a decent Fri nite out, then see the FRA v ARG punch-up, then a excessively long bus ride from the fromer shield country back to Wellies for the opening scene of the ‘Crusade of Blackness’.
I really should see if I can drink on the way down….
And Staffy, Come join us at the Bristol son, it would be such an honour to be in the presence of Manawa-who’s finest!!!!
Comment by The Mad, Maaaaad Dutchman September 3, 2007 @ 9:05 amany forum regulars heading to the garnd and the biggest antipodean gathering since large parts of north africa were taken back from the axis forces?
incidentaly, in the spirit of goodwill and ‘world in union’, the all blacks have promised to hand the italians back there arses to commemorate the occasion.
